Anora Hope!

...Or Annie Boo as she will come to be known by her smitten Aunt Vanna.

It doesn't take long to be a part of our family before you catch our penchant for odd, interesting nicknames (shout out to Boushee, Mini Muffin, Mimo Bibosa, Puddin, Jojobo, Bean and Hambone) :)

Please welcome my precious, adorable, lovely (insert preferred synonym for fantastic here) little neice Anora Hope. Daughter of my little sister Kelly, I had the pleasure of meeting her this past weekend. Shooting opportunities were limited with light falling fast and then a "not sleepy one tiny bit" little beauty.

And so, with the limited few..here are my favorites.

Chris + Sheri

This was the coldest session yet. Chris and Sheri (who are also very dear friends of ours) were such incredible sports as we froze, posed, shot, darted, froze, shot, posed, darted..and did it all over again. :)

Thank you Chris and Sheri for being so easy going and fun, and thanks so much for dinner and conversation. :)

Mary's bunch..

This one was a tight squeeze. One daughter in from school in Duluth for just a couple days, one daughter flying in to Fargo from Texas that morning. And the sun giving us less and less (and less) hours of it's company. BUT it all worked out (thank you Lord) and we got happy faces, cooperative puppies, and beautiful, warm, just before dusk, sunshine.

I love to shoot extended families. The look on "the mom's" face is always so warming. You can see the joy Momma's have when they have their whole family together, it's like they just don't stop smiling. And when that happens, all I really have to do is be there.

Thank you Mary for having me-the pleasure was all mine. :)

The Riley's

Once again with the Riley's. This time we met up downtown for another session at a beautiful old building downtown, which dear friends of ours were gracious enough to let me use. And then outside for some quick, (chilly!) but fun shots in the alley.

I always enjoy working with this family, you can see very clearly how much they love their littln's. :)

The black and whites are really speaking to me lately- SO, here you go. ;)

International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church

Encouraging all my brothers and sisters to spend time next Sunday, November 13th, in prayer for our family around the world who suffer for their trust in Jesus Christ. They suffer and die and are found firm in their resolve that He is who He says He is, and He CAN be trusted.

There are men and women, fathers, mothers and children, who choose to stand with Yeshua in the full face of impending death and suffering. Their faith is real and deep and founded on Truth and trust in the One who gave His life for us.

Yeshua Ha'Meshiach, Yahweh, Jehovah Jireh, God our protector and provider, I pray for my brothers and sisters who choose to suffer for Your name, please fill them with strength and new revelation of Your love and Truth. Protect their families and give them love and forgiveness for their persecutors. I pray for the leaders of the oppressive countries, that You would grant them repentance that they would know the truth, that You would move on their hearts to allow freedom to worship you.

Hailey Class of 2012

What a great day with Hailey and her mom Tami (who just so happens to be my TERRIFIC dental hygienist AND the owner of my favorite children's store here in Grand Forks.
www.onceuponachild.com)

We snuck in Hailey's senior session the day before they took a trip for some sightseeing in NEW YORK. I can't say I wasn't a little bit envious. ;)

I had such a good time with these two. Hailey was so very cooperative, lovely and easy to photograph and Tami was more than helpful in pointing out an awesome hollowed out tree where we finished our session.

Thank you both for such a good time and I look forward to hearing about NY!

Ethan..Sacred Heart-Take 2

...aaand here are the rest. :) Please refer to the previous post for an explanation as to why this makes no sense..;)

Ethan..Sacred Heart Class of 2012

This will begin the previews of Ethan's senior session. Blogger isn't very cooperative right now with uploading and I had so many favorites, I will just have to give him TWO posts. I had such a great time with Ethan and his mom, perusing around Grand Forks, and over to the beautiful Red River for some 'Oh so yummy evening light' photos to finish it off (thank you Lord for Your AWESOME creation). It was truly a blessing to have had an opportunity to spend time with these two, to get to know Ethan a bit and to find a young man with a very good head on his shoulders, who seems very willing to give of himself.

By the way- lights all fixed..thank you very much ;)

My Lovely

It's been awhile since I've had the chance to show off my little miss. Here are a few of our recent attempt at some "1 year photos". You can see from the progression that we begin with 'curious', 'giddy', then we go to 'take the picture mom', after that we have 'are we DONE?!' and then comes the tears. And I personally think she's just breathtaking..no matter the 'cooperation level'. ;)
