One quick..Selah Belle and Daddy

I know I am a complete failure as a photographer in that I have yet to post any 'professional' images of my little Selah Belle. I have come to realize every day I have to prioritize. Sleep, Eat, Pictures? And since eating in necessary for milk production and sleeping is necessary for sanity upkeep, the photo opportunities have been scarce as of late. I am headed to Grandma's house this weekend (Maw maw's to be specific-any southerners will understand). I should have ample opportunity to catch up on sleep and let the creative juices flow. Not that this little one wouldn't shine in a potato sack.

Here is one image we got the day before we left the hospital. I have seen a new beautiful side of My Love that I never knew was there. He is such a gentle, loving, wonderful Daddy, as he is exactly that kind of husband and I know his heart jumps every time he looks at her.

Introducing....Selah Belle Hayes

She's here...I have never seen anything so breathtaking in my life. Of course there will be more shots of this beautiful creation but for now I had to rush and get one on for everyone to see. She was born August 2nd at 12:41am 7lb 9oz and 21 inches long. And every inch and ounce an amazing testimony to the love my Lord has for me. Here is a quick shot of her as we were leaving to go home from the hospital.....
By the way, its pronounced Saylah. :)

Jolene and Jeremy 6.26.10

Finally. This post was long in the making but my sister (the bride) has been most gracious with my delays. The ceremony took place in their backyard and all of the landscaping (including the amazing fish pond) was done exclusively by the bride and groom. The day was beautiful but as to be expected from an Arkansas June, the weather was a bit..balmy. I think a sauna would have been a cool breeze compared to that day. The happy couple managed to stay crisp and clean (and absolutely beautiful Jo). Whereas I think I left a sweat trail wherever I went, Thank God for Photoshop.

And so without further adiu (does anyone REALLY know how to spell that?)...

Jolene and our beautiful mom Valerie.

Jeremy's beautiful 14 year old daughter Cheyenne. I know she's holding a towel but her smile was so beautiful I had to add it.

Jeremy and the Crow's...sans one brother I believe.

Living Room Swing Dance and BELLY Photos!

Finally..an actual real life belly photo. And only two weeks to go.
Also, my two lovely neices come up from Arkansas for asummer visit every year since 2004. And it seems to have become a tradition that when they spend a week with "Aunt Vanna and Uncle Kirk" at least one night is spent swing dancing in the living room. I am a bit...unable to swing as of yet but the girls care more to dance with Kirk then have me involved anyway.
And so, some simple fun shots of dancing in our unfinished, green, very very green living room.

Still lingering...

I....am.....still.....alive. Life is spinning as we rush to get our house ready (or as ready as possible) for the arrival of our precious little lady. I doubt she cares about hardwood floors and painted cabinets...but you never know. Our upstairs looks like a massive construction area, complete with masking taped walls and plastic covered floors, while our downstairs looks like a camp ground. Soon, soon, we will have her done. My hubby has been such a blessing in this. I had no idea what an all purpose worker he is, albiet, there have been a few times I've had to pry the power tool from his fingers and drag him kicking and screaming to go have a cup of coffee and a...shall I say it: BREAK!

This little blog of mine is certainly going to take on a different look as we are getting our "nest" ready for our little Belle, and on as I switch gears and go from 'Savannah the photographer' to 'Savannah the Mommy'. I will continue to do my photography, as I love it so dearly, but much less often as I take time to focus on my little girl. And so..I thank you for your patience and I hope I can keep this blog up and interesting enough to continue to draw your attention. Although, I have no doubt that all of her milestones and sweet faces, and NOT so sweet faces, which I will post should keep things most interesting.

I appreciate all of your prayers and Kirk and I head down South next week for my big sisters wedding. My prayer is that I go down pregnant, I come up pregnant. Simple and easy. July 28th is coming up all too quickly.

And so as we continue in our house work, I will be posting before/after very soon and as soon as I can replace the Skil saw in the hand of my husband with a Canon 5D, I will have an actual, real life, BELLY photo! So for now you have to settle for a snapshot of my beautiful neices and nephew from last summer.

Braden..

What a beautiful evening for this session. The setting sun was perfect for some quick, last minute (you are NOT alone :) senior photos.

I have to say, it was great to meet someone so respectful & kind. I was tremendously blessed to get to know this young man, he seems to have a very good head on his shoulders.

Best of luck and ALL of God's blessings at UND.

Jacob and RJ

FINALLY..! This post has been to long in the making and I appreciate all your patience Brenda. Life is in a whirlwind as my husband and I prepare for our little lady all while remodeling our new home. I will have before/after photos sometime in the future. Near future I hope. I think I can, I think I can.

If this little man is any indication of the soon coming energy of our little one, burning off baby weight will be no problem. He ran and ran and smiled and smiled. He is the son of our dear friends Brenda and Steve, and this is the first time I've seen him since he was brand new. I know there is an excess of Black and White but his big brown eyes pop so beautifully in monochrome.

Thanks so much Brenda for the brief visit (in the rain). We can't wait too see you all again.
